Dinner on a Cloud
A table conceived as a suspended landscape, developed as a private commission.
A table conceived as a suspended landscape, developed as a private commission.
Dinner on a Cloud is a one-off table developed as a private commission, conceived as an inhabitable surface rather than a resolved object.
The project explores the idea of the table as a floating condition — a horizontal plane detached from weight, gravity, and conventional domestic expectations.
The soft, cloud-like top introduces instability and visual lightness, while the central column and mirrored base anchor the object within space, creating a tension between suspension and support.
Material transitions, gradients, and reflective elements blur boundaries between solid and atmospheric states, turning the table into a perceptual device rather than a purely functional artifact.
Rather than emphasizing utility, Dinner on a Cloud invites a slower, more contemplative interaction, where dining becomes a momentary occupation of a fragile, imagined landscape.
The object remains intentionally ambiguous, positioned between furniture, sculpture, and spatial gesture.
