Ad oggi non è ancora stata trovata una causa o una cura con la quale contrastare il martirio del territorio e l'unica certezza resta quella del danno subito.
Gli ulivi sono in natura piante estremamente resistenti, in grado di sopravvivere adirittura agli incendi, e noti per la loro longevità.
Sono al contempo memoria e simbolo di una territorialità e di una storia visibile e leggibile sui loro tronchi. Sono l'equivalente naturale dei borghi medievali costruiti dall'uomo, sono testimoni del rinascimento e pertanto patrimonio non solo naturale ma anche storico.
La volpe è un animale notoriamente presente nel salento, ed in questo caso si rivolge a noi dicendoci che lei ricorda, ed è quindi memoria essa stessa della persistenza degli ulivi e di un paesaggio che si sta inesorabilmente corrompendo in maniera inaccettabile ed inesorabile.
Portare la street art in campagna non è un atto di violenza, bensì un modo per far compiere all'arte una delle sue missioni più nobili ossia colpire e invitare all'azione, finchè c'è qualcosa da difendere.

"I Remember..."
Is a project that is linked to the salentine territory that has been profoundly damaged by the Xylella Fastidiosa, a phytopathology or plant disease that has destroyed the Salentine landscape, drying out and killing thousands of Olive trees. Thus influencing the productive branch linked to these important trees.
Up to now no cause and no solution has been found to solve the tremendous problem that the territory has had to deal with. The only certainty is that of the immense damage, for the landscape, the culture and the economy.
In nature, olive trees, have always been considered highly tough, sturdy plants, known for their longevity and that could also actually survive fires. They have an important symbolism for the territory and their trunk is considered as a “data storage” or historical memory. In nature they are the equivilent to medival villages built by men, that help us understand where we come from. For this reason they are living proof of Renaissance and so become not only, a natural heritage of the area, but an actual storical patrimony.
The fox is an animal which is present on the Salentine territory and that becomes testimonial of our conscious. She turns to us, to makes us remember and becomes our own memory on the value and tenacity of olive trees in time. But unfortunatly, she also wants to express what is happening nowardays and make us reflect on the unacceptable deterioration of the landscape. The fox is remembrance but also protest.
Taking street art into the countryside is not an act of violence, but it wants to be a noble way for art to make people reflect and react to a very serious problem, which has to be solved.
